Οι Έλληνες, οι Γερμανοί και η Κρίση (GGCRISI)

Οι κοινωνικές εξελίξεις όπως η κρίση της ευρωζώνης χρήζουν ερμηνείας: Ποια είναι η αιτία του προβλήματος; Σε ποιον να καταλογίσεις ευθύνες και σε ποιον να απευθύνεις ευχαριστίες; Ποιος θα έπρεπε να είναι επιφορτισμένος να αντιδράσει; Τι πρέπει να γίνει; Δεν αναζητούν μόνο τα άτομα απαντήσεις σε αυτά τα ερωτήματα. Απαντήσεις παρουσιάζονται και στη δημόσια σφαίρα επίσης. Πολιτικοί, ομάδες διαμαρτυρίας, οικονομικοί δρώντες, και πολλοί άλλοι παρουσιάζουν στα μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης (ΜΜΕ) τη δική τους ερμηνεία για την κρίση: ποιος φταίει και τι πρέπει να γίνει.
Το ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα Οι Έλληνες, οι Γερμανοί και η Κρίση (GGCRISI) εστιάζει στις αναφορές που γίνονται από τα ΜΜΕ δύο χωρών κατεξοχήν εμπλεκομένων στην κρίση της ευρωζώνης: της Ελλάδας και της Γερμανίας. Το κεντρικό ερώτημα του προγράμματος είναι: Ποιος καταλογίζει ευθύνες σε ποιον στη διαμάχη για την κρίσης της Ευρωζώνης;
Ως υπόθεση παίρνουμε ότι η δημόσια απόδοση ευθύνης δεν είναι θέμα προσωπικών προτιμήσεων ή ιδιοσυγκρασιακών απόψεων. Αντιθέτως. Οι δρώντες κινητοποιούνται να παρουσιάζουν τους εαυτούς τους με θετικό τρόπο στο κοινό και να προτείνουν δράσεις προς το συμφέρον τους. Βρίσκονται σε διαρκή όσμωση με την κουλτούρα τους και ακολουθούν τις αντίστοιχες γενικές τους αξίες. Συνεπώς, θέλουμε να εξηγήσουμε τα μοτίβα απόδοσης από τη δομική θέση των δρώντων, την πολιτισμική τους όσμωση και τις αξίες τους.
Συγκεκριμένα, μας ενδιαφέρουν οι αμοιβαίες αναφορές ανάμεσα στις δύο χώρες, την Ελλάδα και τη Γερμανία. Πώς οι δρώντες στη μια χώρα σχετίζονται με τους δρώντες στην άλλη και πώς αλλάζει αυτό με το χρόνο; Και οι δύο χώρες είναι στενά συνδεδεμένες από την εξέλιξη της κρίσης, αν και με πολύ διαφορετικούς ρόλους και προοπτικές. Η ερμηνεία της αντίστοιχης άλλης χώρας, οι δράσεις της και τα καθήκοντά της είναι μέγιστης σημασίας για τη διαχείριση της κρίσης και τη σχέση μεταξύ των δύο χωρών και των λαών τους.
