Objectives

The School Psychology Unit was founded in 2002 as part of the Laboratory of Psychological Research of Preschool Education department and has since been in operation for 16 years at the University of Crete. Currently the School Psychology Research Unit is under the auspices of the University of Crete Research Center (UCRC).

Objectives
• To promote school psychology, consultation and prevention research and their applications in schools at national and international level. 
• To plan, implement, and evaluate preventive programmes in Education (Resilience)
• To provide teacher In-service training and evaluation
• To provide parent and promote family resilience

  • Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus, Cyprus
    Training and implementation of consultation as a new model of delivering school psychological services to schools. The training was based on the Growth Resilience Ecosystemic Consultation –GRECO- model, 2010-2011, Matsopoulos, 2010). Training was focused on school psychologists of the Larnaca school district and the program was implemented in their school. Evaluation of the implementation provided strong support on its efficacy and usefulness to teachers.
