Stella Giakoumaki
Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology

Stella Giakoumaki is Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology in the Department of Psychology, University of Crete and Director of the University of Crete Research Centre for the Humanities, the Social and Education Sciences. Since September 2018 until September 2022 she is the Chair of the Department of Psychology. She completed her studies and training in the University of Crete and Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, London. Her research interests focus on the study of endophenotypic markers in individuals at increased risk for schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Her research work has been published mainly in international peer-reviewed journals, it has received high-impact indices, it has been funded by several funding bodies and has been awarded with international and national awards. Her teaching includes a significant number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Neuropsychology.
