BSc Economics (Athens), MSc Urban & Regional Development (Athens), MSc Social Policy (LSE), PhD Geography and Environment (LSE). He is professor in Urban Sociology, social inequalities and exclusions at the department of sociology of the University of Crete and tutor in European studies at the Greek Open University. His research and teaching concentrates on the critical analysis of urban social inequalities, residential segregation, migration and social integration policies in European and North American cities.
