KEPET serves both academic and research needs of the Department of Political Science and other Departments of the University of Crete on issues related to the collection and processing of political data at local, national and European level. The objectives of the laboratory also entail the conduct and elaboration of studies, the collaboration in any form with research centers and academic institutions, the organization of scientific lectures, the provision of services in other institutions, etc. The laboratory focuses on the following research fields: Public Policies, Governance, European Policy, Comparative Political Analysis, Social Policy, Employment Policies, Education Policy, Sustainability, Multiculturalism and Migration Policy.

Current Research Projects

Managing Migration in Greece: Construction of a Start-Up Pilot Prediction Model for Migration Flows and Development of Policy Scenarios for the Greek Migration Policy (ΚΑ 11209), funded by the Research Committee of the University of Crete and carried out by a inter-disciplinary Research Group (Department of Political Science and Department of Mathematics), with Team Leader Prof. Nikos Papadakis (18 October 2022- 17 April 2024),
