Goals
- The exploitation of the UoC know-how and infrastructure to carry out quantitative and qualitative research as well as surveys and studies in accordance with international standards.
- The interaction of UoC with the society and the economy, highlighting its development strategy.
EMRUn also undertakes opinion surveys and market surveys on behalf of third parties – private entities, businesses or institutional actors, in order to secure means and resources for the educational and research activity and for the general development of the University.

Mοuntain Valorisation through INterconnectedness and Green growth (MOVING)

Description:
MOVING aims to build capacities and co-develop – through a bottom-up participatory process that involves value chain actors, stakeholders and policy-makers – relevant policy frameworks across Europe for the establishment of new or upgraded/upscaled value chains that contribute
to the resilience and sustainability of mountain areas to climate change.
Sustainable Innovation and Governance in the Mediterranean Area for the Water Energy Food Nexus (SIGMA-NEXUS)

Description:
SIGMA-NEXUS aims to:
- Review and evaluate existing and past initiatives in the Mediterranean region and evaluate interventions that balance socio-economic and resource-related factors.
- Identify key technical and ecological features that promote resilient and productive agro-ecosystems by conducting comparative analysis and model simulation. One case (case-study) will concern the lake of Kournas and the uses of its water potential.
- Implement training programs and organize workshops that facilitate knowledge transfer and support decision-making, cross-sectoral governance, scalability and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop a digital innovation portal for the Water-Ecosystems-Food (WEcoF) cycle that promotes the co-design of Nexus initiatives and acts as a capacity building tool.
